Biography

Miles Lujan is a trumpeter, composer and educator from Denver, CO living in Chicago, IL. With a degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Lujan uses his strong foundation to create new paths in Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop and Electronic music.

While in College he had the opportunity to play with Tia Fuller, Greg Osby, Vincent Dimartino, Greg Gisbert, Jeff Coffin, Stan Stulzmann, Ernie Watts, Paa Kow and more. Once Graduating from CU boulder he actively was out in the Denver music scene, where he played with members of Lettuce, Odesza, Big Gigantic, DJ Williams Shots Fired, Late Night Radio, and The Motet.

In 2019, Lujan was competitively chosen from international players to tour Europe with the JM Jazz World Orchestra. The band worked with some of the planet’s finest conductors  and soloists and performed at prestigious venues and jazz festivals across Europe and the world. Lujan is constantly finding ways to push creative music forward. In 2023 he released an Ep “Sonic Revolution” under his own name showcasing a unique blend of jazz and hip hop elements.
